Summary
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar travels to Muddy Gap, Wyoming, to help Hank Parnell, the town’s mayor and newspaper editor, who fears a vengeful ex-soldier named Billy Benbow will destroy the town. After Benbow blows up Parnell’s press room as a warning, Dollar deduces that the bomber is hiding in plain sight among the local police. By noticing physical inconsistencies in Officer Pete Branson, Dollar exposes him as Benbow and prevents a massive explosion at the local oil tank farm.
