Secret_of_the_Hard_Luck_Mine
Summary
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles attend a birthday party where a lucky stranger, Leroy Clover, discovers a map to a lost gold mine hidden in a broken pot. Clover escapes with the map, prompting the lawmen to track him using the distinctive trumpet of a traveling merchant, Tobias Llewellyn. After Clover is cornered at the mine and refuses to leave his gold, a landslide buries the entrance, trapping Clover inside. Hickok rescues the gunman just before the mountain collapses, burying the mine forever and ending the search for the lost treasure.
