295 - The Book of Dale
Summary
Cecil Baldwin reports on the trial of cult leader Harrison Kipp, who is accused of murdering Jalen Rutherford with a collection plate. During an interview, Kipp promotes his god, Dale, and his new religious text, the *Book of Dale*, which claims to prevent the end times. The Faceless Old Woman calls in to discuss her views on grief and agrees to broker a meeting with the deities. Ultimately, Sheriff Sam and the secret police are swayed by the book’s "disruptive" narrative and drop the murder charges, releasing Kipp from jail.
