Summary
With 42 days until David Wood’s execution, his defense team pursues desperate leads to secure a stay. They interview Eddie Barton, a man who once confessed to the desert murders but now denies it, and attempt to contact dying informant Randy Wells, who passes away before they can speak with him. The lawyers also meet Marsha Fulton, the mother of victim Desiree, hoping to sway her support, though she remains skeptical of Wood’s innocence. Finally, the team files a massive habeas corpus petition, leaving their fate in the hands of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
