Broncos, in spite of their offense, beat Seahawks 17-14 on TNF
Summary
The Athletic Football Show hosts Robert Mays, Dave, and Derek dissect the bizarre Seahawks-Broncos game, highlighting Bo Nix’s 0.6 air yards per completion and Seattle’s offensive line struggles. They praise Vance Joseph’s defensive scheme, which dominated the line of scrimmage and forced Sam Darnold into difficult decisions, while noting Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s elite spatial awareness. The panel debates whether the Broncos’ 4-2 start masks a fundamentally broken offense, with Ryan Fitzpatrick’s postgame criticism of Nix adding fuel to the fire.
