Kū's Legacy

Summary
Joe, a ghost tour guide in Hawaii, recounts a terrifying encounter with the god of war, Kū, during a night tour. After a psychic warns him the deity demands human blood, Joe is physically pulled toward a ravine, leaving his family tattoo hot to the touch. A kahuna later reveals his ancestors were high priests responsible for human sacrifice to Kū. Joe reconciles his Catholic faith with his heritage by honoring the spirit as a venerated ancestor rather than a god.
