Ice Pick Murder
Summary
Richard Diamond investigates the murder of a man found with an ice pick in his back, leading him to the Apollo Health Club. There, he discovers the club owner, Dr. Van Arpenter, is a fraud who lures victims with opium-laced wheat germ. After a second death, Diamond and his friend Seymour infiltrate the club at night to uncover the drug operation. Diamond confronts the doctor, who admits to killing the first victim over a dispute, before Diamond subdues him with the help of a violinist.
