MBW 1046: Trust Agnes! - Apple Unveils its Apple HomeView and Apple Home Collection
Summary
MacBreak Weekly episode 1046 covers Apple’s surprise launch of the HomeView, a $299 smart display featuring face recognition, multi-user Siri AI, and a design reminiscent of a large Apple Watch. The hosts discuss its hardware capabilities, including an A18 chip and secure enclave, while noting the absence of a dedicated app store in favor of CarPlay-style projection from iPhone or iPad. The conversation also highlights new third-party home accessories from LG and Schneider Electric, such as smart cameras and thermostats, and speculates on future iterations with robotic arms.
