La Grèce antique : un paradis gay ?
Summary
Hosted by Nicolas Cartelet, this episode explores ancient Greek pederasty, distinguishing it from modern homosexuality through its role as a civic and military rite of passage. The discussion analyzes the strict social codes governing the relationship between the erastes and eromenos, highlighting the ideal of male beauty and the stigma attached to passivity. Using sources like Plato and ceramic art, the episode debunks the myth of a gay paradise, revealing that while same-sex desire was naturalized, it was heavily regulated and often subject to homophobic insults when norms were transgressed.
