Summary
Pan and Daria confront the Convocation’s oppressive regime, debating whether a mysterious "virus" is a threat or a lost connection to nature. After Daria forcibly links their minds, Pan experiences Thea’s memories of a pre-industrial world, realizing the virus is actually a forest. They flee to the ComSec Tower to broadcast this truth globally, but Daria sacrifices herself to allow the upload. Pan survives, now tending the last tree in the ruins while listening to recordings of extinct wildlife.
